Recently, a 37-year-old man was charged for allegedly assaulting his pet dog sexually after a video went viral on social media. The man whose legal name is Sexy Vegan has now pleaded not guilty to the charges against him.
According to Los Angeles County prosecutors, the man who was born as Hansel DeBartolo III, is facing 2 misdemeanor charges of sexual assault on an animal and for posting obscene matter on a public portal. If convicted, he can face up to one year in jail.
The LA county sheriff’s deputies arrested Vegan after a video went viral on social media. The video was deemed as inappropriate behavior by the prosecutors. They did not offer any specific details about the video but deemed it obscene. The video, however, no longer seems to be posted on man’s public social media account.
Vegan also has an IMDB profile which says that he moved to West Hollywood from a Chicago suburb in 2016. He legally changed his name to Sexy Vegan. He also made an appearance on the “Dr. Phil” show in 2017, where he was escorted out of the studio by security guards for using expletive language. He appeared on the show a few months later to apologize for his behavior.
“I do get judged a lot for being different,” he said at the time.
Currently, he is being held at the Twin Towers Correctional Facility. According to Jail records, his bail is set at $35,000.
