Recently in a Nigerian wedding party, a suicide bomber tried to detonate explosives to kill the people attending the party. However, a dog grappled the bomber until her explosives detonated, killing the dog as well.
Hero dog saves everyone by sacrificing his life
Buba Ahmed of Belbelo village, near the northeastern city of Maiduguri, says guests are grateful that the dog sacrificed itself to save their lives. As per him, the teenage bomber wanted to kill all the guests attending the wedding at the outskirts of the village. But the dog must have smelled the explosives on the bomber and instantly attacked her by grappling the bomber. The whole incident happened on Sunday morning.
Police confirmed the heroic act of the dog
Police spokesman Victor Isuku on Wednesday confirmed to The Associated Press that the dog had intervened to save the wedding party.
“A multinational force has driven Boko Haram Islamic extremists out of most town and villages in northeastern Nigeria, but the extremists have resorted to attacking soft targets with suicide bombers.”
