Dog Allegedly Poisoned by A Watchman In Mumbai

A watchman of a building in Vashi has allegedly poisoned a stray dog to death in Mumbai. According to the police, the dog always stayed around the premises. A case has been booked against the accused after the post-mortem reports of the dog confirmed that it was poisoned.

The accused has been identified as Vinod Kumar Singh. The locals have lodged the complaint, alleging that Singh had poisoned the dog. But the accused has not been arrested yet.

The report also mentions that the dog was often attacked several times with stones. According to the locals, before the night the dog was found dead, the watchman was seen feeding the dog something.

A local resident, Nitin Mehta, in front of whose house the Indian dog breed was found dead, has demanded “tough action for the horrid animal cruelty”.

In 2008, as many as 40 stray dogs had been poisoned after being fed biscuits ” laced with poison “.
