Anushka Sharma Plans To Build An Animal Shelter On Her Birthday

Bollywood star, Anushka Sharma, who turned 30 today, announced that she’s going to build an animal shelter for stray and uncared animals. The animal shelter is going to be located on the outskirts of Mumbai on a six acre land.

Anushka is also dog owner of a Labrador (dude). She always dreamed of doing something to help stray dogs and other animals. Her animal shelter is going to cater to all stray dogs and animals that are old, injured, abandoned or strays.

She announced the news on Twitter and even posted a heartfelt note.

Anushka in the note said “I’m building an animal shelter just outside Mumbai – a home for those animals that are stranded, left to fend for themselves, have to brave harsh surroundings. A home where they will be cared for, loved, protected and nurtured. This has been my calling for years now and my dream is finally coming true. I will seek your time, support and advice to make this home a place that looks after fellow living beings with utmost care and compassion – all in due course of time.”

For her special day, her husband Virat kohli posted a sweet message for her on social media.

“Happy B’day my love. The most positive and honest person I know. Love you,” he captioned a picture of them.

We from DogExpress also wish Anushka Sharma a very happy birthday and applaud her initiative towards stray animals welfare.
