A Stray Dog Tied Behind A Vehicle And Dragged To Death In Mumbai

Another gruesome incident reported from Mumbai. A stray dog was tied behind a vehicle and mercilessly dragged around until the dog succumbed to his injuries.

The dog was found dead with his neck twisted and eyeballs popping out of their socket. The people reported that the dog’s blood was found all across the ONGC colony at Bandra-Kurla Complex. Blood was dripping from the dog’s body when he was found dead on Saturday morning.

Case Registered

A case has been registered against unidentified persons at the BKC police station. The case report included that the dog’s front limb was tied to a cloth. The first spotters at the location suggested that the dog must have been tied behind a vehicle and dragged till death.

The first responders also noted that when the body was found the blood was oozing out and the dog must have died moments before the help arrived. Some animal volunteers have informed the case to Bombay Animal Rights and appealed to get help from social media.

The dog’s carcass has been sent to BSPCA for a post-mortem. The investigation is underway and the police will review the CCTVs from the area for footage to get leads regarding the persons responsible.
