A Man Pays ₹ 2 Crores For Korean Mastiff Puppies

A dog breeder in Bengaluru spends a whopping price of Rs. 2 crores to import two rare Korean mastiff puppies in India. A single puppy is priced at Rs. 1 crore!

The breeder, Mr. Satish S. says that he was looking to get this breed since last 20 years, as they are quite rare. He believes that breeding and selling of pedigree dogs is booming in India and has a bright future. But he is not only in this for money, he is also an ardent dog lover!

Currently, these puppies are kept in air-conditioned rooms as one of the puppy is having a hard time adjusting to the conditions in India. Medical assistance is provided! The female puppy is doing good and seemed quite happy.

About Korean Mastiff Breed

Originally from South Korea, this dog breed is famous for its layers and folds in the skin and adorable eyes. The native name of the breed is Mee Kyun Dosa. They grow quite big and an adult Korean Mastiff weighs around 70 kg.

Temperament: They are known to be quite friendly, easy going, intelligent and loyal. They like to be around humans and can adapt to both city and country environments. They are termed as a lazy dog breed and love to sit beside their humans. However, they are classified as a working class dog breed.

Life expectancy: 8-12 years

Grooming: As they have short skin, they don’t shed much. However, weekly brushing of the coat is recommended along with weekly cleaning of their skin (especially between folds). A monthly bath routine is recommended for this breed.

Health problems: Cherry eye is a common problem in this breed. They are prone to bloating, so only small meals should be fed to them 2-3 times a day. They are also prone to hip dysplasia and genetic eye condition like Entropia.
