5 Dogs Poisoned To Death in Bengaluru

Another shocking animal cruelty incident has come to light from Bengaluru. According to sources, 5 stray dogs were poisoned to death and 4 dogs are in critical condition. Sources say that the dogs were given poison-laced food. On consuming the poisoned food, 5 dogs died and 4 dogs are battling for their life in MS Ramaiah City in JP Nagar VII Phase. The incident was reported on Monday morning.

Around 8:30 am, Aparna, a resident of Daffodils Apartment, went to walk her dog when she saw the known society stray dogs unconscious and not responding to her. The unconscious dogs on the side of the road made Aparna suspicious and she alerted her flatmates. They took the dogs to a nearby vet hospital, where 5 dogs were declared and 4 remain under critical care.

Sources in Puttenahalli police said they suspect some residents who feared the stray dogs could harm them fed the animals food laced with poison.

Aparna said the dogs were being fed by locals and were friendly.

An FIR has been lodged against unknown persons in the case by the Puttenahalli Police.

“We suspect some miscreants killed the dogs by poisoning them. Everything will be clear after the investigation,’’ said a police officer.
