Your dog will also gain fiber, iron, copper, potassium, and manganese. It’s also known to be nutritious and low in fat.

3. Bananas

Bananas are full of natural sugars that can easily be converted into energy. They have potassium, amino acids, and other minerals that are beneficial to your dog. They also contain vitamin C and B6, which help to maintain stable blood pressure and are ideal for heart health. Bananas are a perfect treat for your dog.

4. Watermelon

 

Watermelon is another fruit that is ideal for dogs to eat. Like an apple, make sure that you remove the seeds and rind them first before you give them to your dog. 1. Avocado

Avocado is a healthy fruit for humans, but it’s not recommended for dogs. The leaves, skin, and pit of avocado contain persin, a contaminant that causes diarrhea and vomiting in dogs. What about the inside part? The fleshy inside doesn’t contain much persin, but it’s still enough to cause problems for dogs.

2. Cherries

Cherries are delicious and an ideal snack for humans, but not for dogs. Its pulp is safe, but all the other parts contain cyanide, which is toxic to dogs. Cyanide disrupts the flow of blood, which means that your dog won’t get enough oxygen. Your dog will have difficulty breathing properly, experience red gums and dilated pupils if you give them cherries.

3. Onions

You should not try to give your dog onions. Onions are part of a large family of plants known as Allium, which are toxic to many pets including dogs. Like avocado, onions can cause your dog to diarrhea and vomit. It can also affect their red blood cells, cause stomach pain and nausea.

4. Grapes and raisins

Grapes and raisins are not the type of food that you should give your dog. They are poisonous to all breeds of dogs. Studies show that grapes can cause irreversible kidney damage. In light of this, you should avoid them at all cost

You should not attempt to give your dog wild mushrooms. There are more than 50,000 species of mushrooms on the planet, and about 100 of them are said to be poisonous. These 100 species can cause serious health issues to your dog that may result in death.

6. Tomato plants

The red parts of the tomato that humans eat are safe for dogs, but the green parts of the tomato plant contain poisonous substances known as solanine. The unripe tomato, stem, and leaves are not safe; they can cause gastrointestinal upset in dogs.

7. Rhubarb

Rhubarb is a type of vegetable that is considered to be very delicious by humans, but you should never try to give it to your dog. Its stems and leaves can remove all the calcium that your dog has. In this light, your beloved canine can suffer from serious health conditions, including renal failure.

8. Currants

Many people don’t realize what currants can do to their canine friends. Like grapes and raisins, currants contain toxic substances that are not safe for your dog. If your dog eats currants, you should expect side effects like diarrhea and vomiting. Currants can also be a recipe for renal failure.

9. Apricot

The stems, seeds, and leaves of this fruit ate poisonous to dogs. Like cherries, the pulps are safe, but you should make sure that your dog has access to the pulp only. The other parts of this plant contain cyanide, which can cause respiratory problems or even death.

10. Raw and green potatoes

Potatoes is a major ingredient in various dogs’ foods, but green, raw and unripe potatoes are not advised for dogs. These varieties of potatoes are also harmful to humans. Side effects of raw and green potatoes to dogs include vomiting, nausea, heart irregularities and seizures.
